Lasagna

Lasagna.

Uh, yum! If I could eat just one food for the rest of my life, it would be this lasagna.

Now, that’s saying a lot.

But not really. Who doesn’t love gooey layers of pasta tomato sauce and cheese?

Especially the cheese.

Okay, I’m gonna let you in on a secret of why this is so good:

Five words:

FOUR CUPS OF MOZZARELLA CHEESE.

If that doesn’t make you want to make this, I REALLY don’t know what will.

Lasagna
Ingredients
  • 12 lasagna sheets
  • 4 cups of mozzarella
  • 2 cups ricotta
  • 1 cup parmesan
  • 4 tbsp dried parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 lbs ground sweet Italian sausage
  • 4 tbsp chopped garlic
Instructions
  1. Boil the lasagna sheets until flexible, drain, and set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and set aside.
  3. Brown the sausage and garlic in a large skillet, until cooked all the way through. Add the pasta sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, add the remaining ingredients, but reserve about a half cup of mozzarella for the top.
  5. In your baking dish, layer some of the meat sauce, some lasagna sheets, some more sauce, ricotta filling, and lasagna sheets. Repeat that process until you have three layers of the sheets and end with the ricotta. Sprinkle over the reserved ½ cup of mozzarella and throw into the oven for 40 minutes.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes and Serve!!
