T'was five days after Christmas,
and all through the kitchen,
There was only one thing stirring,
and thats all I've got.
I feel like I haven't posted anything in FOREVER. Cough cough well, you haven't cough cough. Well, you do have a point, subconscious mind. But it's not ENTIRELY my fault. I blame the teachers.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday.
But let's talk about home fries, shall we?
These home fries are healthy, delicious, and most of all, comforting!
2 Idaho potatoes
½ tsp grapeseed oil
1 scallion, finely chopped
½ tsp paprika
1 pinch chili flakes
¼ tsp oregano
½ tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper
2 tbsp water
Slice your potatoes in half. Then, slice the halves into thirds lengthwise. Then, slice into ¼ of an inch pieces. Place in a microwave safe bowl
Microwave the potatoes for about 4-6 minutes. It really depends on how you sliced the potato how long it will take. After about 4 minutes, take out a potato slice and test it to see if it is cooked through.
Once your potatoes are microwaved, heat your grapeseed oil and scallions over high heat in a medium skillet. Add the potatoes and stir until coated evenly with scallions and oil.
Add the spices and the 2 tbsp of water, making sure to add the water directly over the spices so they disperse evenly throughout the home fries.
Continue cooking until the water evaporates and the spices become fragrant. Take off heat and stir immediately!
