Red Velvet Cupcakes

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Do you like red velvet cupcakes?

I do.

Especially when you eat the batter and you look like a vampire.

Pshh, I didn’t do that.

But the frosting is without a doubt. The. Best. Frosting. I. Have. Ever. Tasted.

Like, its intense.

Like, wanting to eat it with a spoon intense.

I’m sad to say that about 3 cupcakes were not frosted as a result of my family trying the frosting. But I guess that means they liked it.

Which is gooood.

    hi will,

I made red velvet cake for Olivia’s birthday last year. I made it in a quarter sheet pan and topped it with cream cheese frosting. What kind of frosting did you use? I have a recipe I haven’t tried yet for what is supposed to be the original and authentic RVC frosting. It is a cooked frosting. We should compare recipes next time I see you ( which may be next Saturday). I also decorated the cake with raspberries and it was very pretty. I didn’t find the cake difficult to make, but since I don’t have a dishwasher I try to minimize the number of dishes I use when baking and cooking. I usually try to get away with 1 bowl for cakes. For the RVC I had to use 4! That was the only thing I didn’t like about the recipe.

I have a question for you…what are you going to do about the name of your blog when you get to high school?

      Hi Jamie!

I used a cream cheese frosting and it tasted really good. Its just cream cheese, a tad of butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. I made it in the bowl I made it in for the cake after I just cleaned it out. Also, I am leaning towards Will*yum* when I get to high school.
